Knee orthoses are orthopedic devices designed to stabilize the knee joint, limit excessive motion, and reduce mechanical stress on ligaments, menisci, and surrounding soft tissues. By controlling flexion, extension, and lateral movement, they promote structured support while preserving functional mobility during recovery. These devices are commonly used for ligament injuries, meniscal conditions, post-traumatic care, post-operative rehabilitation, and degenerative joint disorders, with models ranging from elastic compression supports to hinged or rigid braces depending on the required level of stabilization.
Ligament injuries of the knee, including ACL, PCL, collateral ligament tears, meniscal damage, and joint instability, may compromise functional movement and structural integrity. In cases of severe tendon or ligament damage, surgical intervention may be required, followed by controlled immobilization to support recovery.
The TK10 Adjustable Knee Stabilizer is engineered with four aluminum splints positioned along the medial, lateral, and posterior aspects of the knee. These splints reduce excessive flexion and extension, enhancing structural stabilization in both sagittal and frontal planes. The design assists in offloading stress from injured ligaments while promoting controlled rehabilitation. Two elastic hook-and-loop straps provide secure anatomical fit, and the adjustable sleeve structure allows customization according to patient size and therapeutic requirements.
